Jim Koenigsaecker dedicated the first 10 years of his adult life to newspaper journalism. He worked his way up from a copy boy to an editor, but, his passion was always photojournalism. During the glory days of newspapers, Jim covered everything from the White House to the Olympic Games with his trusty Leica. These days Jim uses documentary photography and filmmaking to amplify his advocacy efforts.

Wildlife rangers David Mburu and Joel Kiprotich on patrol at a waterfall along the Ewaso Nyiro river on the El Karama Conservancy in the Laikipia region of Kenya. The conservancies and ranches of Laikipia are a model for how wildlife – including lions – can coexist with people and their livestock.
